Field of application / properties
KOBAU RS-Papiervlies 150 is used in the field of surface remediation for textured substrates such as glass fabric, stippling or for bridging cracks. For creating smooth substrates inside buildings ready for papering or painting.

Processing

Prior to sizing the fleece, check the finish of the product and only use products with the same batch number. In case of discernable defects, replacement will be supplied. Consequential costs will not be reimbursed.

The substrate must be dry, clean, solid, evenly absorbent and smooth. Remove old wallpapers and loose paint. Smoothen rough substrates using appropriate fillers. If required, prime absorbent substrates.

1.) Use as paint supporting material:
For gluing, Ovalit GF or NP Power Granulat plus is recommended. Paste KOBAU RS-Papiervlies 150 with the pasting device and apply immediately or process in wall pasting technique. Paste the webs butt-jointed and press them against the substrate using a suitable paperhanging tool. Press projections against the substrate by means of a plastic spatula and trim with a cutter.

2.) Use for substrate treatment:
For pasting, a filled dispersion adhesive such as Metylan TI is recommended. The adhesive is applied by means of a suitable toothed spatula on the surface.

3.) Use as wallpaper substrate:
At least special paste + approx. 20 % dispersion adhesive such as Ovalit T.
