KOBAU optitape SH is intended for bridging all types of construction joints, for the reinforcement of joints in prefabricated concrete ceilings / prestressed concrete floors, and in the field of dry construction for gypsum boards or fibreboards. KOBAU optitape SH is a fabric tape consisting of non-slip technical polyester with a narrow-meshed middle strip of 40 mm in width. KOBAU optitape SH is watertight, weatherproof, resistant to chemicals and non-fouling. A self-adhesive coating on one side that is protected by a separating film and compatible with all dispersions serves for ease of working.

Prepare the joint to be reinforced according to the national regulations and / or BFS notices. Subsequently, fill the joint with suitable elastic fillers according to the instructions of the manufacturer so that they are level with the surface. Remove the separating film, uncoil KOBAU optitape SH in the center of the joint and press the tape against the joint avoiding any formation of wrinkles. The tape edges should overlap at least 5 cm. Subsequently, apply elastic reinforcing adhesive and smoothen. Repeat this procedure until the tape is completely covered. The further treatment is to be done as required for the surface. In order to achieve areas of uniform structure, we recommend the use of KOBAU microlith® Malervlies or KOBAU Armiera® Anstrichvlies.
Subsequent work is to be performed observing the instructions of the manufacturer in each case.
