Field of application / properties

KOBAU Riss-Brücke® is intended for the reinforcement of paint systems in case of dynamic cracks (type C.1 / C.2) according to the classification in the BFS notice no. 19 or for bridging cracks in prefabricated concrete units. KOBAU Riss-Brücke® is a knitted fabric of finished technical polyester. In addition, a fleece strip is arranged in the middle. KOBAU Riss-Brücke® is watertight, weatherproof, resistant to chemicals and non-fouling.

Processing

Prepare the surface to be reinforced according to the national regulations and/or BFS notices. Remove loose components from individual cracks, prime the surfaces and in particular the flanks of the cracks. Insert a filling profile (round cord) into cracks of more than 3 mm in width in order to avoid any three-flank adherence. Subsequently, fill the cracks with suitable fillers so that they are level with the surface. Then apply elastic reinforcing adhesive with binder according to DIN 55945 as embedding material. Embed KOBAU Riss-Brücke® from the roll with the fleece strip turned down into the wet coating avoiding any wrinkle formation and bubbles. Press the product into the embedding material and apply immediately reinforcing adhesive. In case of an alternating crack direction, cut off KOBAU Riss-Brücke® and apply it again following the crack. After complete drying, apply another coat of reinforcing adhesive on the KOBAU Riss-Brücke® and level the edges.
Subsequent work is to be performed observing the instructions of the manufacturer in each case.
