KOBAU Poly-Vlies W 50 is intended for the reinforcement of paint systems in case of cracks passing through plaster layers (type B.1) as well as cracks due to the change of shape of different wall materials (type B.2) according to the classification in the BFS notice no. 19. KOBAU Poly-Vlies W 50 is preferably used for the reinforcement of silicone resin or mineral paint systems highly permeable to water vapor as well as for the increase of the layer thickness in flexible coating systems. The product is a polyester/polyamide fleece consisting of continuous filaments that are thermally fixed. KOBAU Poly-Vlies W 50 is weatherproof, resistant to chemicals and solvents.
Attention:
Up to crack type A.2 in conjunction with Poly-Vlies W 50 with silicone resin or mineral paint system.
Up to crack type B.2 in conjunction with Poly-Vlies W 50 with flexible facade paints.

Paint reinforcement:
Prepare the substrate to be reinforced according to the national regulations and/or BFS notices. Subsequently, apply embedding material uniformly until saturation using a roller or spray gun. Embed KOBAU Poly-Vlies W 50 from the roll or as a ready-cut in the wet paint avoiding wrinkle formation and bubbles. The webs should overlap in a width of approx. 5 cm. In case of complete reinforcement, roll KOBAU Poly-Vlies W 50 preferably from top to bottom. In order to achieve smooth surfaces, smoothen by means of a rubber blade. Smoothen the overlapping area to fleece thickness to ensure surface compensation through the new coat applied. After complete drying, apply the intermediate and finishing paint coat.

KOBAU technique "Reinforcement instead of multiple leveling":
In order to achieve smooth surfaces, apply a suitable filler mechanically or manually on the substrate and comb uniformly using a toothed trowel of 4x6x4 mm. Insert the KOBAU Poly-Vlies W 50 into the fresh filler and level it completely by means of a smoothening tool with toothed trowel structure below the fleece. Process the webs with an overlapping of at least 5 cm. Apply the embedding material on the surfaces.

Subsequent work is to be performed observing the instructions of the manufacturer in each case.
Any deeper roughness or coarse irregularities are to be eliminated by scraped leveling prior to applying the KOBAU technique "Reinforcement instead of multiple leveling".
